SenDEC's Donation Helps Advent House Provide Hospice Services To Local Families

On March 16, 2010 Glenda Hastings, RN, Director and Vicki Deady, Development Coordinator from the Advent House, a ministry based care facility in Perinton, NY were presented with a monetary donation from SenDEC Corporation.  This is the fourth year SenDEC has donated money to the Advent House who has been providing patient care and living accommodations for the terminally ill for over 23 years. “I think most of us have had a personal experience that make you realize and appreciate the type of care and compassion that a facility such as this provides to our loved ones in their final days” said Thomas Tette, Chief Financial Officer of SenDEC. “We feel honored to be an annual supporter of the Advent House.”

One of SenDEC's core values is “Duty to Community” and the SenDEC employee family has a long history of supporting organizations and individuals that help others as well as giving back to those who have helped us. Many of the community service initiatives SenDEC participates in are employee driven. In addition to being a proud supporter of the Advent House, SenDEC actively participates in the CP Rochester, the Small Business Council of Rochester's Thanksgiving Basket drive, Breast Cancer Walk, Al Siegel Center fund raising, the Dream Factory, the J.P. The Advent House is an outreach ministry of Perinton Ecumenical Ministries Inc., a corporation of thirteen churches in Perinton, NY. Advent House is a non-profit comfort care home that provides an alternative living arrangement for the terminally ill when they can no longer be cared for in their own homes.
